Ogun Govt Approves Emergency Repairs on Abeokuta–Sagamu Expressway

The Ogun State government has approved emergency rehabilitation works on failed sections of the Abeokuta–Sagamu expressway following weeks of complaints by motorists and transport unions.

The Commissioner for Works said contractors will move to site immediately, starting with the most damaged stretches around Siun and Kobape. He assured residents that the project will be completed before the rainy season peaks.

Transport unions in Abeokuta welcomed the decision, describing the road as a lifeline for traders moving goods between the state capital and Lagos.

The government also promised regular updates until the repairs are completed.
